A rapidly-expanding IT company has increased its turnover by £2 million since moving to a business park near Solihull three years ago.
Central IT Support started life in a computer shop on the Hagley Road in Birmingham in 2009 before re-locating to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council’s owned Blythe Valley Innovation Centre near Solihull in 2015.

The business provides software and hardware including point of sale systems, after-care support and surveillance to medium and large businesses across the UK and Europe.

Owner Kaveh Zanjani said next year’s turnover figures would be boosted further after winning a new contract with another multi-national corporate client.

“Our turnover since we moved here has increased by £2 million and it is now over £3 million,” he said.

“We have secured another contract to supply computer parts to a major manufacturer which has factories in most European countries which is really exciting.

“One of the biggest reasons we have grown so much is the quality of our sales service and after-care support.

“We have a very dedicated team and I think the part of our business which sets us apart from our competitors is our technical support and service and that is a key area that we focus on.”

Kaveh said he has never regretted his decision to move to the Blythe Valley Innovation Centre.

He said: “I set-up the business in 2009 and when we needed more space, we moved here because of the standard of the units and its location. Since it is close to the M42, it is very accessible for our engineers to reach sites across the country to visit our customers.

“The staff at the Innovation Centre are very friendly and helpful and it is a nice working environment.”

Janet Bunch, centre manager at the Blythe Valley Innovation Centre which is operated by the University of Warwick Science Park, said Central IT Support had grown from serving SMEs in the West Midlands to counting household names as its customers.

“Central IT Support has developed from humble beginnings to thriving in a competitive industry,” she said.

“We are pleased to have played our part in helping the team move to a bigger office at the Blythe Valley Innovation Centre which they needed to be able to develop. That is one of our USPs since we assist small and start-up businesses by providing the business services they need to prosper.

“The consistently high standard of Central IT Support’s service is reflected in the big rise in their turnover while they have been based at Blythe Valley Innovation Centre and we wish them continued success.”
