Launch of Coventry & Warwickshire Green Business Programme, 2019-2021

The second phase of the Coventry & Warwickshire Green Business Programme has officially been launched at an event at the Coventry Transport Museum on 26th February 2019.

The 3 year programme will support businesses in the region to develop Low Carbon technologies and implement improvements to energy and resource efficiency.

Adoption of Energy Efficiency measures and Renewable Energy

This is delivered by Coventry City Council, who will support SMEs in the region to improve their energy and resource efficiency. This is achieved through energy audits and capital grants up to £50K (40% Funded) to purchase equipment such as heating systems, LED lighting, recycling equipment and renewable energy products.

Development of Low Carbon Products, Technologies and Services

This is delivered by CUE Business Solutions who provide businesses in the region with grant funding and specialist support from Coventry University to develop Low Carbon products.

Grants up to £20K (40% Funded) are available to support the development and commercialisation of Low Carbon Products and services. The grants can be used to fund items such as external testing, prototype development, IP protection, accreditations, manufacturing and test equipment.

Through the programme, SMEs are also able to access expertise and testing capabilities of Coventry University. This includes access to research support on specific sustainability challenges and access to environmental and product testing facilities.
