The Minerva Business Angel Network is part of the University of Warwick Science Park and provides a forum of private investors looking to invest in emerging technology businesses.

Established in 1994, our Minerva team has a long and successful track record in preparing companies to attract the right kind of funding. We have invested over £11m into more than 80 companies from 2010 to 2018 and have facilitated the leveraging of around £30m on top of that. We do this by providing a gateway to other sources of funding including VC funds, banks and other Angel groups.

Our extensive network of Business Angels come from all walks of life and form a number of investor syndicates. We hold monthly meetings to view pre-selected opportunities looking to raise anything from £150,000 to £2m.

When we look at your requirements, we make a judgement on your suitability and readiness for equity versus debt funding, assess the business potential, the strengths and weaknesses of the opportunity, the probable resources required and the package of support you will need to achieve your goals.

• We look for innovative solutions and market propositions with the validation of a need/route to market
• You must have a clear exit strategy for our Angels and plans must include a timetable to exit within 5 years
