Exporting is good

Grow your business with exports

The University of Warwick Science Park has backed the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce’s drive to get more firms exporting.

The Chamber launched its ‘Exporting is Good for Coventry and Warwickshire’ campaign at its annual conference last month.

The idea is to get more firms across the region exporting in order to grow their own companies as well as boost the regional economy.

The campaign will not only encourage firms to export it will point them in the direction of those organisations that can help such as UKTI (UK Trade & Investment) in order to make sure they get the assistance they need in their overseas trade.

UKTI (UK Trade & Investment) has a team based at the Chamber while the University of Warwick Science Park can also provide support with overseas trade through its business support services such as Techmark.

Techmark offers a range of marketing expertise including assistance with entering overseas markets, that speak either English or German.

Dirk Schafer, of the University of Warwick Science Park, said: “Exports are key to growing our economy so it is great to see the Chamber are pushing ahead with a drive to get more companies selling overseas.

“Here at the Science Park, there are great examples of businesses which are exporting and we are able to provide our own support through Techmark – and that service is available to tenants at the Science Park and non-tenants too.”
