University support services
Science Park based companies are able to draw on the wide range of professional services based on the University's resources. Some of the most highly used services include:
University Library
Companies are welcome to make use of the extensive business information and reference collections. Published materials are also increasingly available on micro card, microfilm and microfiche. A photographic service is available for studio and/or on site work.
Arden House, Scarman House and Radcliffe House
The University's residential management training centres with over 100 study bedrooms each plus seminar rooms, dining and relaxation facilities, all provided at a high standard.
Language Services
Specialised courses, evening classes, private study and translation and interpretation are all available through the Language Centre.
Facilities:
The University of Warwick has been ranked by the Government among the top five UK research universities and has always developed strong working links with industry. Departments regularly appear at the top of league tables for research grants and income from industry. With over 850 academic staff members, over 5,000 postgraduate students and 7,000 undergraduates the University has skills and expertise at many levels, directed to solving the problems facing industry and society.
Companies based on the Science Park are welcomed and encouraged to seek out beneficial working relations with the University and to take part in its cultural, social and recreational life. In all cases, the Science Park is able to assist companies to find the most relevant points of contact within the University. In addition, the University's own Industrial Development Office is always available as another central reference point for all matters relating to academic and technical resources.
Sports and Social Facilities
A special membership scheme has been devised for Science Park based companies and their staff who would like to make use of the extensive Sports facilities including squash, swimming, tennis, sauna, activity rooms etc.
In addition, staff of the Science Park's clients are, warmly welcomed by the University staff clubs for badminton, football, cricket and other sports.
The Arts Centre
The Arts Centre on campus is the largest UK arts complex outside London. It provides an extensive and varied programme of plays, concerts, films, recitals, dance and art and sculpture exhibitions. The full programmes which involve national companies and international celebrities, are open to the public through the Booking Office. A well stocked, bookshop forms part of the Arts Centre complex.
Dining Facilities
In addition to Food for Thought in The Venture Centre, there are extensive catering outlets for lunch and dinner on the University campus.
Shops and Banks
Barclays, HSBC and NatWest all have branches on campus for personal accounts and as a local branch for companies requiring an on-site chequing facility with their main Bank business centre in Coventry. Shops on campus include a supermarket, a stationers/Printers/Post office, hair salon, Travel shop and Temping agency.
Health
The University Health Centre has a NHS GP Service.

Industrial Development Office
Through the Science Park, the University's Industrial Development Office or individual academics, Science Park companies can tap into:
Consultancy arrangement covering the full range of scientific, technical, business, language and other expertise within the University
Specialist scientific equipment, test facilities, workshop and computers eg. NMR and Mass Spectroscopes, Rapid Prototyping, Ultrasound testing, Nanotechnology, electron microscopes, etc.
Student projects of BSc, Masters or PhD level. Companies can identify projects together with academic staff that they would like to see investigated. This has proved to be particularly popular with academics, Science Park Companies and the students themselves, frequently with results that Companies find both useful and practical.
Longer term research or teaching arrangements of mutual benefit.
Warwick Business School
The Business School works closely with industry, commerce and government in partnerships globally and locally. R esearch and knowledge-led, vital to research and development, the school is one of the largest of its kind, With around 300 staff members and over 6,100 students and participants.
