Science Park company - driving to growth
Established in 1993 with just 3 personnel, University of Warwick Science Park based TruTac Ltd has experienced phenomenal growth and is set to employ seventy-five part time staff in 2002. The company, which uniquely processes and analyses tachograph data by their own patented method, ensures legal compliance and provides operational and benchmarking data for operators of large goods vehicles and coach and bus fleet operators.
The new custom laid out accommodation, also on the Science Park, will have thirty-two workstations. Its facilities will allow clients to electronically download data online for processing. This will cut the analysis turnaround time needed from four to five weeks to a staggering two days effectively providing data in real time.
TruTac's services are increasingly in demand by Fleet Managers who need to ameliorate tightening operating margins and allow for greater Corporate and Individual Management risk liability.
David West TruTac's Sales Director comments, "The Science Park has been extremely helpful in accommodating our growth. We have not had to contend with the massive disruption that moving a distance would entail.
The really good thing is that the Park's management takes a personal interest in our progress. We know that their doors are always open for advice and support."
"The growth in jobs TruTac is generating is very good news for the region," adds Tom Webster, the Science Park's Deputy Director. "The company illustrates just how flexible the Science Park is in accommodating growth and how important our help and support services are perceived by clients."
TruTac's expansion programme has been part funded by the Advantage Technology Fund.
