The UK's only real time artificial intelligence (AI) games specialist company is set to double its size thanks to a major funding deal.
Mindlathe Ltd, based on the University of Warwick Science Park's Innovation Centre at Binley, can now double its size and take its groundbreaking products to market. The funding has been secured from Advantage West Midlands, and the government's Small Firms Guarantee Fund, available to high tech companies in an Objective Two Area.
Managing Director, Ian Millington, explains, "The Innovation Centre's location was instrumental in finding the funding we needed. The Centre also provides us with a quality location and, because the accommodation and leasing terms are so flexible, we haven't had to move as we recruit more personnel to grow our business. The Science Park management have been very helpful and are very sympathetic to new business start ups."
The company specialises in software for computer games. It is about to launch the most advanced real time AI system on the market aimed at games development companies.
Karen Aston, Centre Manager adds, "We are delighted with Mindlathe's success.
It epitomises what the Science Park is all about-giving practical help and support to help grow businesses for the economic health of the region."
Mindlathe's management has an overall business strategy. As Ian explains, "It's simply to become the global leader in real time AI components."
