Teamstart's success. WIRE-E to Launch Revolutionary Service for SMEs
wire-e plc, a TeamStart company, is set to launch a revolutionary mobile text messaging service for SMEs.
Managing Director, Nigel Shanahan explains, "The new mobile text messaging service is designed to turn a company's website visitors into paying customers. It can be used to send information such as product availability or special offers. The system is ten times quicker than conventional direct mail, elicits ten times the response rate and is ten times faster on delivery."
Established only thirteen months ago, wire-e plc now employs 23 personnel.
Nigel adds, "Our association with the University of Warwick Science Park goes right back to the company's formation. The TeamStart initiative was very helpful during our start up and some of the programme was inspirational. The Science Park has been a springboard to other University of Warwick initiatives such as the Teaching Company Scheme and the Knowledge, Innovation and Technology Transfer Scheme (Kitts). The Kitts programme has provided us with four graduates all of whom are working on specific assignments."
Based at the Binley Innovation Centre and utilising the innovative environment there, wire-e plc has created three collaborative ventures with different Science Park based companies.
Harry Stott, UWSP Project Director, adds, "wire-e is an exemplar company. It shows just what can happen when you bring together some talented entrepreneurs and back them up with carefully targeted support initiatives. The company's development has been very impressive and we look forward to our continued involvement with this exciting young company as it continues to grow."
